Waynesburg alumna and WTOV-9 producer Jackalyn Kovac spoke to students Monday about being at the center of the coverage of the Steubenville High School Rape Case.
Kovac warned students about getting caught up in the misinformation presented on social networking and even by other news sources; she encouraged students to research everything before they present it as news.
She spoke about being an ethical journalist and maintaining the notion that people are “innocent until proven guilty.”
